DAY 01 – ARRIVAL AND CITY TOUR IN CUSCO
Upon your arrival in Cusco, our transfer will meet you at the airport parking lot with a sign featuring the INFOCUSCO logo and your name. Then, we will take you to your hotel, where we will provide detailed information about your itinerary, recommendations for your stay, and settle any pending balance (if applicable). Afterward, you will have free time to settle in, enjoy some coca tea, rest, and have lunch before the afternoon City Tour begins.
Between 12:40 p.m. and 1:00 p.m., we will pick you up from your hotel to start the City Tour, beginning with the visit to the Qoricancha Temple. Then, we will travel by vehicle to explore the archaeological sites surrounding the city: Sacsayhuamán, Q’enqo, Puka Pukara, and Tambomachay. Afterward, we will return to Cusco between 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m., dropping you off near the main square for you to enjoy your first night in the city.
DAY 02 – MARAS, MORAY, SALINERAS & TEXTILES
Between 8:30 a.m. and 8:50 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco to start a day full of culture and stunning landscapes. The first stop will be Chinchero, a charming Andean village where we will learn about the traditional textile making process. Then, we will visit Moray, a remarkable archaeological site with circular terraces used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory, with a notable temperature variation of up to 15°C.
Next, we will head to the Salineras de Maras, an impressive complex of over 3,000 salt ponds that have been used since pre-Inca times. You will see the extraction process of the famous Sal de Maras, known for its purity. After the tour, we will return to Cusco between 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m., dropping you off near the main square for further exploration or to rest. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 03 – HUMANTAY LAGOON
At 4:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel in our tourist van to begin the journey northeast of Cusco. We will cross several towns until we reach Limatambo, from where we will ascend to Mollepata. Along the way, we will make a brief stop at the Markahuasi viewpoint. In Mollepata, we will enjoy a panoramic breakfast before continuing to Soraypampa, the starting point for our hike.
From Soraypampa, we will begin a 1.5-hour ascent to the stunning Humantay Lagoon, surrounded by the snow-capped peaks of Humantay and Salkantay. After admiring the landscape and taking photos, we will return by the same route to Soraypampa and then head back to Mollepata for lunch. Finally, we will return to Cusco, arriving between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Overnight at your hotel.
DAY 04 – SACRED VALLEY – AGUAS CALIENTES
In the morning, between 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel and, after gathering the group, begin our adventure to the archaeological center of Pisac. This picturesque district, located 50 minutes from Cusco, will be our first stop, where we will explore its impressive Inca complex and enjoy its panoramic views.
After the visit, we will continue to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a buffet lunch before heading to Ollantaytambo. There, we will ascend to the archaeological center, a climb rewarded with spectacular views of the town and the river, as well as its impressive Inca architecture. After the visit, you will stay in Ollantaytambo until your train departs to Aguas Calientes (approx. 4:36 p.m., arriving at 6:09 p.m.). Upon arrival, the hotel transfer will guide you to your accommodation, and later, the guide will contact you to finalize the details of your visit to Machu Picchu the next day. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.
DAY 05 – MACHU PICCHU – CUSCO
According to the prior coordination with your guide, you will head to the bus station to board the transportation. For 30 minutes, we will ascend along a winding road to reach an altitude 400 meters higher, arriving at the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu, also known as the Lost City of the Incas.
Upon entering, we will present the entry tickets and begin the guided tour of the citadel, lasting approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, depending on the chosen circuit. Afterward, your guide will leave you in a spot where you can take photos or request an optional video report. Then, we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have free time for lunch before the train departs (2:30 p.m.). Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, you will take the connecting bus to Cusco, arriving around 6:30 p.m. and finishing the day with a transfer to your selected hotel.
IMPORTANT: Train schedules may vary depending on availability at the time of confirmation.
DAY 06 – SOUTH VALLEY: TIPÓN, PIKILLAQTA, ANDAHUAYLILLAS
We will pick you up from your hotel around 8:45 a.m. to head south of Cusco. After a 45-minute drive, we will reach Andahuaylillas, where we will visit its famous church, known as the “Sistine Chapel of America” for its impressive baroque art. Then, we will explore Tipón, an Inca complex with sophisticated agricultural terraces and an advanced irrigation system.
Next, we will head to Pikillaqta, a city of the Wari culture built between 700 and 900 A.D., and visit Rumicolca, an ancient Inca control post. On the way back, we will stop at the Huacarpay Lagoon viewpoint, a beautiful wetland surrounded by flora and fauna. Optionally, you can enjoy the famous chicharrones of Saylla. We will return to Cusco between 2:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., finishing the tour near the Plaza de Armas. Overnight at your selected hotel.
DAY 07 – RAINBOW MOUNTAIN
Between 4:00 a.m. and 4:40 a.m., we will pick you up from your hotel and head south for a 2-hour journey. Upon arrival, we will enjoy breakfast before continuing to the Llaqto community, where we will begin our hike to Rainbow Mountain. Our guide will provide instructions and recommendations for this incredible experience.
The hike will take 1.5 hours to reach Vinicunca (5,036 meters above sea level), passing through ravines, llama and alpaca herds, with views of the towering snow-capped peaks of Ausangate and Wiñayrity. At the summit (10:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.), our guide will explain the geography and ecosystem of the area, and you will have time to capture amazing photos. Afterward, we will return to the transport for lunch and then head back to Cusco between 4:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Overnight at your selected hotel.
DAY 08 – AIRPORT TRANSFER
Depending on your flight time and prior coordination, we will pick you up from your hotel and take you to the airport. We remind you that, according to airline guidelines, passengers should arrive at least 2 hours before boarding.
